In front of the Akaal Bunga is an open space used for various purposes. Here on the Dus-hera festival goats are slaughtered and here I myself witnessed, from the top of the fine gateway leading to the causeway, a rough-and-tumble, but on the whole good-humoured, scrummage amidst pools of red-coloured water during the lively days of the annual Holi festival.
